Kenya as a whole is a great place to grow orchids. On the tropical coastline, they flourish in the steamy humid climate. Our orchids tend to be best in a hot or temperate climate, which covers the vast majority of Kenya, although care should be taken if you live at high altitude.

 

The orchids we have on display at the Hanging Garden include, Angraecum, Ansellia, Brassia, Bulbophyllum, Cattleya, Coelogyne, Dendrobium, Dendrochilum, Eria, Epicattleya, Grammatophyllum, Oncidium, Paphiopedilum, Phalaenopsis, Renanthera, Rhynchostylis, Schomburgkia, Vanda and Zygopetalum.

We offer a combination of orchids grown from cuttings or splitting in our nursery and imported plants from around the World. Prices for our orchids start at Ksh. 1,750/- for first time flowering dendrobiums and start at Ksh. 2,500/- for imported blooming size plants and up depending on the type, age and rarity of the orchid. Spanish moss is available at Ksh. 700/- a bunch. We have a bulk order rate for Spanish moss if you are looking to use allot (over 50 pieces). We can arrange delivery around the country by courier.
